LA CAN Leadership Team LA CAN leadership is almost entirely comprised of low-income downtown residents of color, many of whom are currently or have been homeless. LA CAN places emphasis on recruiting members and staff who reflect the changing demographics of our community, such as the growing number of women residents. Other organizational leaders have had similar life experiences and struggles and are products of downtown or analogous communities.
